The 20th Anniversary of Dr. Hitt’s Presidency Celebration
If you could change one thing at UCF, what would it be? ($ and time no object)
I’ve been told I have a Pollyanna complex. So I think “Reach for the Stars” is still pertinent.
What is one piece of advice you would like to share with your colleagues?
Be diverse in your time perspective. Consider past, present and future when making decisions.
If UCF was going to name something in your honor, what would you like it to be and why?
An outdoor trail as I enjoy walking and running and our scenery is beautiful.
If you could have lunch with anyone at UCF (who you do not normally eat lunch with), who would you choose and why? Dr. Maribeth Ehasz, she is so caring and committed to UCF. I admire her tremendously.

Name and describe a teacher or researcher from your past who truly inspired you and why.
English Teacher, Miss. Watson fostered my love of literature.
What is your favorite restaurant or food? Southern grits, collards and shrimp.
Locally, 4 Rivers and in Charleston, Peninsula Grill.
What is your favorite movie, book or music?
The Shawshank Redemption, To Kill a Mockingbird, and anything by Marvin Gaye.
What is your favorite vacation destination?
In the US: Savannah, GA and internationally, Florence, Italy.
