Cervantes & Co. Spanish Classics

Martha Garcia is the editor of a scholarly edition of El condenado por desconfiado de Tirso de Molina / Damned for Despair by Tirso de Molina, a major classic masterpiece of the Spanish Golden Age, published by Cervantes & Co. Spanish Classics, Juan de La Cuesta Hispanic Monographs, in fall 2010. This edition of this distinguished Spanish play written in seventeenth century Spain constitutes an instrumental tool in presenting a play written in Old Spanish to English-speaking learners, studious individuals of the classics, and scholars. The edition consists of an introduction, a bibliography, grammatical explanations, a summary of each of the acts of the play, an analysis of the key themes and plots, footnotes, vocabulary, and a glossary.

Her first book, the monograph La función de los personajes femeninos en Don Quijote de la Mancha y su relevancia en la narrativa / The Function of the Female Characters in Don Quixote and Their Relevance in the Narrative, was published by Academia Editorial del Hispanismo in Spain in spring 2008.
