Directed and managed 23 direct reports and provide oversight for the, University Academic Advising Center, Center for Service and Learning, Programs for Academic Success Initiatives, First Year Experience, Resident Faculty Leader Program, and Military Science and Aerospace Studies (Army and Air Force ROTC), Undergraduate Research Office, Pre-Health Advising, Regents Bachelor of Arts Degree Program, Multidisciplinary Degree Program and the Undergraduate Scholars Office.
Served as the Liaison to the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).
Collaborated with WVU Faculty Senate on matters related to curriculum and execute appropriate policy and/or guidelines to facilitate proper execution of new programs and policies.
Provided oversight of approximately 142 undergraduate academic programs for WVU Main Campus and two Divisional Campuses.|
Managed and prepared institutional reports for Higher Learning Commission (Regional Accreditor) and WV Higher Education Policy Commission.
Engaged WVU leadership to problem solve and work through various solutions to resolve issues.
Directed and executed the WVU Blue Print for Student Success.
Communicated regularly with the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission on curriculum, and policy matters.

Responsible for the university achieving the Carnegie Classification for Community Engagement.

Established the WVU University College to meet the needs of approximately 5600 students. Executed strategic plan, which included the engagement of key members of the administration.

“Remain true to yourself; do not compromise your values or the core of who you are to become someone you do not recognize”.

If UCF was going to name something in your honor, what would you like it to be and why?
The fountain – The fountain signifies hope and determination – endless possibilities.

What undergraduate or graduate class/program/experience inspired you the most and why? Conducting research for my dissertation.   During this period of time I returned to the public school to conduct research on best instructional practices – determining the teacher behaviors that positively impacted student learning. Knowing that effective teachers impact learning and the fact that student’s lives can be changed when given access and the opportunity to have great instruction improves the outcomes for many students.
