What is your history at UCF and before UCF?
VP and General Manager, CAE Global Integrated Enterprise Systems; SVP and General Manager, SAIC Applied Software, Systems, Engineering and Training Business Unit; Software and Systems Engineer at small and large companies.

What is your academic background?
MS Computers, Information and Control Engineering, BS Mathematics University of Michigan

What is your favorite UCF memory?
My daughter receiving her MS in Engineering Management.

If you could change one thing at UCF, what would it be? ($ and time no object)
I would like to see the colleges more proactive in identifying opportunities for increased collaboration and integration to study and solve challenging problems and show students the benefits of working across disciplines.

What is one piece of advice you would like to share with your colleagues?
Look for opportunities to collaborate to create interdisciplinary experiences for our students.

If UCF was going to name something in your honor, what would you like it to be and why?
Something to do with the College of Engineering and Computer Science where I have a desire to assist the Dean, professors, and students reach their goals.

If you could have lunch with anyone at UCF (who you do not normally eat lunch with), who would you choose and why?  Dr. Hitt is an inspiring leader and has a great sense of humor.

Name and describe a teacher or researcher from your past who truly inspired you and why.
Dr. Beyster, founder of SAIC, built the largest employee-owned technical company by providing leaders with potential the opportunity to be an entrepreneur within an environment where you could work with and learn from some of the brightest minds in the country.  My career and personal success are a result of the experience of being one of the Business Unit leaders under Dr. Beyster in SAIC.

 What undergraduate or graduate class/program/experience inspired you the most and why?
A Graduate Software Engineering class at University of Michigan.  The concepts of teamwork and a disciplined approach to software development shaped my career.

What is your favorite restaurant or food?
The Garlic, New Smyrna Beach

What is your favorite movie, book or music?
Nils, Pacific Coast Highway

What is your favorite vacation destination?
My husband and I honeymooned in Bora Bora.   The diving and scenery were breathtaking.
